Took a long walk in the woods again with my Ace 250 while this winter warm spell :sun:continues and got more exercise than finds. Most of my finds were evidence of past deer hunts - shot shell heads ranging from 20 to 10 gage, numerous shell casings, and an arrow.

I scored 2 more ox shoe halves to make a total of 3 from this property. One of the shoes was a few feet from where I had dug a 1700s knee buckle recently. Both of these were fairly close to the edge of the same creek but in different areas.

My best finds of the day were a nice pair of pruning shears and an antler shed by a buck :cheer: – Oh, and the wreckage of a battery operated radio control aircraft which came to rest at the base of a tree.

No silver today, just a clad quarter and a couple of Zincolns.

Thanks for Looking.
Nick

Nice hunt and cool group of finds. I think that's the same airplane my son has. It's a fun plane to fly.
Thanks, Jamflicker! It's still out there next to the tree where I saw it. I had 3 bags of trash to deal with, 2 in my pack and 1 in my hand so I couldn't bring it with me.

Nice haul congrats
Thanks, cellrdwellr!

The pruners will prove useful...cool insulator and congrats on the rest of the finds as well.
Thanks, Captain Silver! The pruners are a better pair than I had at home. The insulator weighed a ton:roll: but I was able to carry it out in my backpack.

Those felco sheers are top drawer and expensive. I prefer Corona brand pruners but the felcos are a status symbol with yuppie house wives
