KT made a trip to Tallequah OK this weekend to visit the local club's rock and mineral show, interesting to His Majesty as in a former life He was a geologist/mineralogist. Looked at many things beautiful and scarce formed by nature at the show, but not finding anything of particular interest, He began to look for other items. Came across some silver halves at one booth. Asked where the owner got them and he explained his brother dealt with a lot of coins, perhaps a coin shop owner? KT did not ask, and it was explained that whenever the dealer did any work for his brother, he always was paid with silver coinage...but what he needed was some hard spendable cash. KT asked what was the lot price....for 3 Bens and 4 64 Kens....price was stated and KT hesitated then made a counter offer...dealer considered and then gave a price within a few dollars of KT's offer and KT bought them. Nice way to add some additional 90% halves to the Royal Horde!

Enjoy the picture. The Bens turned out to be a 48, 49, and 50, but common mintage, not any S mintages in the lot. The dealer seemed to think the 64 Kens were the only years of silver mintage and KT left it that way.

Anyway, enjoy the pic of these coins as they are headed for the Royal Horde in the Dungeon Treasure Chest!

Congrats on the successful haggle and adding silver to the mighty royal horde. I suspect that it's a good thing the royal treasure chest is in the dungeon, or else it would be coming through the floor from the weight!!
