Default Looking at Minelab Equinox 600...

I am looking for an upgrade to my Fisher F2 and would like to have the ability of beach (water and wet sand), land and river hunting. Can anyone tell me how this does in those areas. It says it can do all of that but would like to hear from anyone that has the experience with it. Thanks.

My 800 works great on the west coast saltwater and on iron rust infested beach.
Theres alot of people here with the 600 too who will chime in.

I own the 600 and wish I had gotten the 800

For me I would like to use the gold modes because I am in Gold country
I also would like to have a little bit more control on Tones that don't get with the 600.. But if you are just looking to turn it on and go straight out of the box then get the 600 as I LOVE my 600

Get the 800 and you'll have less would of's and should of's later than the road. For a few dollars more the upgrades are worth having it now than later.

I had the choice between the 600 and 800 when my wife gave me the go-ahead to get a new detector for my birthday (and Christmas, for the next couple of years )

I decided to get the 800 not for any particular feature, but so that I wouldn't regret not getting it later.
