First Silver

Got out today to my well worn spot in Hanover County and scored another first, my first silver!! I had a few other meager finds but the seated dime was certainly my find of the day. Hell, any day hunting is a great day.

Its a little bent, but I'll take it!!

On another note, do you guys think the small bullet is from buckshot or buck & ball?

I found it about 8" down so I'm going with Buck-n-Ball. There have been a few round balls found on this same property. The patina varies from place to place on the same 30 acres. Some of the lead is bright white with oxidation, some very brown, like the cleaner and some is almost a pure gray color because it was in consistently wet soil.
