I've tried to search with no luck. What is everyone using to transport/store/protect their detectors? Pictures a plus!

I'm got an Equinox 800. I can't tell much about the minelab cases on their website, I have also looked at various hard cases such as pelican style and haven't found exactly what I have in mind.

Minelabs cases are soft. I find them plenty adequate to protect my detectors. I don't mistreat my equipment whether in transit or in storage so if you feel that you are going to be so rough on the detectors that a pelican case is not adequate then you are being far too rough on your equipment. I can not envision a scenario where a case stronger than a pelican case would be needed.

Most of the time when I go detecting I just put the detector in the trunk of the car and go. Never had a problem. When I travel long distances I just put the detector in one of the soft cases and again no problems.

At home I just store them without putting them in a case.
