This is my second year with the SE Pro. I love the machine, but cannot seem to get any nickels with it. I dig a lot of the 9-05, 10-05, 9-06 and 10-06 signals but all I get is tabs. Am I looking for the wrong numbers?

Around here 05 CO is nickels, and 06 is canslaw or tabs.
Tone quality and size is generally what sells me on digging most good targets while avoiding the bulk of the trash. If the ground is relatively clean of modern trash, I'll dig any good sounding tone in the hopes of finding gold.

My machine has a range of tones for nickles. Maybe its due to the year (alloy composition) or something to do with salt water. Regardless, tones range from the high pitch penny sound to low gold tone. I just cashed in my coins, but I'll keep that in mind and save some to show you the range. So if you are discriminating, you could leave good targets behind.

Hey there. I use Smartscreen exclusively on my Explorer SE and can usually tell by the location of the cursor when I'm in nickel/gold territory. I get lots of nickels. GL and HH. Matt
