Saying Hi all.

Little about me.

I do own a MD, an Ace250, unfortunately has sat in the closet for some time, but now I have a 4 yr old grandson and will be looking to get him a small detector. As we all know small children have a ton of energy and what's best, but digging in the dirt?

He already helps plant the garden, but not it's time to go on some treasure hunts.

I plan on teaching him that it's not about what you find, but about the hunt.

Hopefully we find a coin here and there as I am a coin collector.

Fantastic site by the way.

Welcome to the forum oober, from west Michigan here, I take my grandkids out detecting all the time but they just usually like to play in the swings:lol:

Welcome from South Carolina !!!!

You could always seed a few coins at first to get them excited about finding a coin, sort of like a metal detecting club seeded hunt but without telling you planted the coins

Reminds me of this comic

Four year old? Maybe instead of buying a cheap kids detector, you let him man a handheld pinpointer while you do the detecting and most of the digging. I bet he would love that beeping/pointing/finding treasure game!
Welcome to the site. You came to the right place.
