Got my excal back from minelab with a Bag of Sand

I sent my metal detector back for false signals, had a little sand in the coil cover. (The first two times i hunted without the coil cover) they replaced my coil and sent me a little ziplock bag of sand with a note telling me to clean it after ever use. I guess i thought that was funny. For a minute i thought i would mail the sand back for fun.

That's why I seal my coil cover with waterproof sealant so sand stays out.

Yeah, what he said, PLUS it'll keep ya from losing the coil cover while yer huntin. LIKE I DID ONCE
: P.S. Cable tie-wraps work right nice too and they won't interfere with yer signal but they won't keep the sand out either. What's a fella to do
