I've found this metal near a lake in central Italy. Could this be a metal clip from a ww2 tank?

Is there a threaded hoke in the round end? Looks like a heavy wing nut, similar to the ones on a porthole. Don't know what a tank clip is.

No threaded hole.

It's the edge of the wing bevelled.

Could be one. It has the model for it.

Here's an example of a WWII Sherman tank track, but your's is not this one for sure. I can tell cause i've found about 40 of those.
So if so, yours should be from another tank track type (and there are many).

And these are mine. Found between other sherman parts (tracks, lights).

I guess you are right

Search on google Tank Track Connector Wedge
But I haven't found the same model

I'm relatively new here so anvil hardy may be local jargon like leverite, but have to ask anyway if Anvil was a male relative of Frank and Joe.

An anvil hardy is a tool that fits into an anvil for working metal. I don't think that's what this is, but I can't deny the resemblance.
