Its been a long time since I was there and I don't know the rules about detecting there specifically , but I got a real impression that it would not be very welcome , being a tourist town and almost completely private. Its a good spot though if you manage to find some areas where its ok or you could manage permission. The areas along the river should be good , especially at the put in and take out areas for tubing , and there certainly has been a lot of people through that town. It might be possible to find some areas where detecting might be ok.....possibly.....but they are likely to be kinda picky around there , since they are going for a pristine alpine village look. Sorry I cant help you with it more , but just be careful.

Its a great place to go tubing , and the river is stocked with trout so a good place to do some fishing too. If you find you cant do any detecting atleast there will be other stuff to do.
