A lady with big hair

Found in a field which used to be the home of a late 1800's township hall. Shall I call it a brooch? A rosette face? What say you... I'd call that hairstyle Victorian maybe?

I'd say brooch personally. A rosette would be thicker .

Possibly one half of a make up compact? Looks like it could have had a pin on it at one point too though...Cool piece!

I have found one similar, but it still had the pin joint and bottom half, but it still could be something else, just looks close to mine.....Nice find whatever it is though... :cool:

I think it's either the makeup compact lid, or a lid from a cold cream type jar.
