Fancy Brass Thing with Eagle

I've been googling to no avail. Appears to be brass with some sort of silver finish. Looks like an eagle in the center. The inside has a threaded hole and I can see the numbers 3220. Found at what I think was a barn location near a civil war era house that was occupied into the early 1900's. Part of a bell?

I thought you guys had IDed my unknown. Doesn't have a screw mounting point so probably not part of a bell. Any more ideas?

OP Nice find !!

Not a doorbell. But it got me in the right direction. It is an Antique Ornate Victorian Corbin Bronze Door Knob Plate. Much better picture from the net.
