Yall Ever Seen Anything Like This ?

Hadnt seen one in a few years,but have seen it before...Wall of dust invaded Lubbock about 5:45 today with 60-70 mph winds...Went from mostly blue skies to almost dark in minuets...Hopefully the news will have some better pics later,but here's of couple of mine and friends....

This series were taken no more that 3-4 minutes apart..Hopefully it will show how fast it was moving..

Thats a dirt storm alright.....and they are playing in it.....LOL
 
It's been a while since I've seen one. Around here much of the credit goes to the NRCS for the Conservation Reserve Program. Farmland that used to blow like that is back in native grasses.
 
Incredible pictures ! Used to live in El Paso , Texas. Remember watching the local weather on TV and they showed the 7 day forecast-- one of the daily weather box was labeled "brown out/flying objects"..haha....only in Texas !!

That is where i live. :yes: Never seen one of these before. There was a huge one in Arizona a few months ago.
 
Yep Rad, seen plenty of those, and I sure do not miss em. One of the things that always bothered me about living there was the wind and the massive amounts of dust. No home is quite tight enough to escape those storms. :lol:
