Bought a used Etrac on eBay. Proceeded to assemble it but didn't get far. Trying to slide the could cable through the lower shaft but it's not going far. Straightened out a clothes hanger and slid it down and hooked the cable to it but it's not budging. Trying to force it through but it promptly stuck. Manual gives no suggestions.

Anybody got any?

Don't ever force it----you will tear the connector off the cable/wires.
You need to pull the cable with connector back out the bottom and start over.

I recommend a shoe lace vs a coat hanger.

The connector can get turned sideways and it along with the cable it gets crowded.

Hopefully you have not damaged the coil harness.

Good luck...

I hold the connector above the shaft and as you push it down the shaft twist it a bit so the coiled wire tightens. As the coiled wire tightens it will get smaller and allow you to push it in a bit more. Release the twist and repeat till it comes out. The more times you do this it will get easier.

shoe lace. That is the best method. I have spare upper and lower rods for my spare coils so I don't have to deal with this everytime I change coils.
