Break points are not great for US coins. Pennies run around 20. Quarters run around 30. In both cases you can get a mixed tone level that might confuse you.

For US coin hunters wanting to be all they can be using Nox.
I highly recommend the 800 model over the 600 model.
For US relic hunters wanting to be all they can be using Nox.
I highly recommend the 800 model over the 600 model.
Disclaimer:
I have never run the 600 model but can indeed make my 800 model mimick the 600 model in some cases.
And add to the fact 600 model has no prospecting mode.
The 800 unit is the better choice.
There are price differences.
I am only giving my opinion here.
I am not telling folks to buy anything, not even an Equinox.
It is a person's sole decision to buy or not or at all.
The reasons for my recommendation/opinion above.
Moveable tone break points capability on 800.
Adjustable tones in a user's designated tone bin.
Adjustable volume in a user's designate tone bin.
Prospecting mode added to 800 model.
Additional recovery speed setting capability on 800.
Folks in above medium mineralized dirt, the higher speed settings will normally yield more performance with depth vs 600 model.
A nickel window for tone can be established for example using 800 model.
Or any area ID wise a user chooses.
The user's profile program capability can come in handy on 800 model.
Now there are additional accessories gotten with 800 model purchase as well.
Namely wireless headphones and the headphone module which with adapter regular headphones can be plugged into and used.
