Remington-UMC Nitro Club Info

I just started metal detecting 2 days ago and found rem-umc nitro club no20 is a good find or is it just scarp

I personally don't consider any shotshell heads to be scrap. Your find is a fairly common headstamp, but is still a good find.

Nice job,
Doug

Several people have found REM-UMC Nitro Club heads lately and have been wanting some reliable dates for them. I have been trying to get a good date range and finally got some info from Remington. Both Remington-UMC and REM-UMC were used close together. Remington told me that these heads date from 1913-1915.

Moderators - If I don't have this in the right place, will you please move it where it belongs. Thanks

I found one of those in the water at Jones Beach today. As you can see it's quite worn out from the salt water action. I thought it was some sort of token so I didn't post it until I figured out what it was. I had no idea it was that old.

I found this one in a park in Clay County Florida Today. I did not realize it was possibly that old.

Just found this in a high school soccer field it was super deep. My mx5 didn't even blip only reason I dug is it went mute and showed a 70-80 vdi at about 9 inches. I found it at about 12. Says REM-UMC NITRO CLUB NO 20

Surface found one of these a few days ago. Took pics, but left it there as we were in a NP. I was sad to leave it behind as it was the nicest headstamp I have found to date.
