Tilled the front parkway last night and although I didn't find any coins, found this little guy:

Well, quick check reveals that there was various Pontiac eight cars in production. from around 1930 to early 50's. I believe the eight refers to the straight eight cylinder engine.

That's the date ranges I came up with also, and fit in the range the house was put up (mid 1940's).

Here's a Serbin thing-a-majig that I found in the back yard last year. At least this one has a date on it, but never did find out what won the Serbin Award in 1950 (most likely numerous products).
