My first coal scrip

Found this at an old homesite in the woods I first checked out last fall. It's now been dozed flat and the cellar filled in with the foundation stone.

"Insurance Credit System" was the name of the co. that issued the tokens, and this one was patented in Jun 1919. They were bought out in 1924, so that gives a date range for this one.

way to go my friend. great find. One of my wife's friends is bringing her fathers md from a few years ago that he used before he died to hunt the beach keep your fingers crossed for me.
