Nice ones! A friend of mine keeps telling me he's going to take me to Alaska (he grew up there), but we haven't gone yet. One of these days though...

The mining company that owns the majority of the mineral (gold) claims in that valley is For Sale.

Looks like you were there during the summer? Was there a problem with mosquitos? I heard they're as big as helicopters in Alaska, you can see them coming. Great pics!

This was the last week of AUG. The fall colors were kicking in. The skeeters weren't bad at all up in the mtns. In the valley they weren't too bad either, but the white sox(flies) were a major pain.
