Anyone have any tips on cleaning old bale seals? I have one that has a lot of writing on it but I can't make anything out. Thanks all!

They are made out of lead. All I do is rinse them with water and brush them with a soft toothbrush. Anything harsher and you will wipe off all the white patina. I hope this is helpful.

Ditto on that. The white patina is what makes them so cool. Same with old musket balls.

Yes I have found 3 musket balls and I love the way they look coming out of the ground!
