the only ike's I know of that were silver were minted & sealed in hard plastic holders, like proof or mint sets. That's not to say that some kid didn't hit his dad's coin collection and put them into circulation... happens a lot, but I think you would have a better chance finding silver with your MD...

Any Ikes that came in uncirculated packs from the mint with a blue disc are 40% silver and many, many of those were removed and spent into circulation as they weren't rare or anything.

I think you have a good chance of scoring some 40%.

Actually there were 10 variations of silver Ikes.

There are also different "types" that you want to look out for.

Sorry, got tied up in what's loosely referred to as "real life"

Finally got around to going through them on Saturday....total bust as far as silver goes...

I'm going to be taking them to the casino and cashing them in

then turn it into 2000 dollars
