coil covers

bobbulge... never thought of that happening.... Thanks.. Told you I learned more on the forum than from books. HH
 
I wear through a coil cover a year through keeping the coil low and slow like you should.
Covers are a lot cheaper than a new coil...that should be your reason, but do remove it after every trip and clear any dust and dirt from inside as this might cause falsing.
 
did those scratches have any impact on the performance of the coil?

As far as I can tell, the scratches, and the chips had no affect on the performance.
