I found this large flat disk, which I believe to be an old copper colonial coin, six inches deep in an area that I've pulled musket balls, old flat buttons, and some late 1800 coins from. As you can see from the photos, it was highly encased in a deep green layer, and had been there for some time. I havent been able to see any identifiable marks at all. I used hydrogen peroxide three times and let the steaming peroxide 'clean' it off, removing all the dirt and extra goods without scrubbing or damaging it. It had a decent weight to it and is between 28 and 30mm in diameter, or 1 1/8 to 1 3/32in in diameter. Anyone have any ideas on what it could be, or what I could do to try and identify it further? Thanks
