Found this last week but only posted in on facebook, I have no idea what it is.........several people on there say it is an ancient Greek coin, possibly someone bought one from ebay or something and lost it?? House was 140 yrs old, and he had his yard all dug up putting in new water lines, it was in the turned up dirt a few inches deep

Wowsers, what a find - definitely appears to be Greek or Roman... Not your average yard dig! Fantastic! I'll run some searches and see what I can turn up... I'd probably be thinking 'Greek eagle coin' Greek falcon coin' 'Roman falcon coin' etc for search terms...

This one is close....greek. This one is silver so you might have a fake. They made fakes back then, too!
