Silver plated buckle type?

Any idea what kind of buckle this is, or an era? It's silver plated copper, I believe. It has a nice ornate design on the front. Thanks!

What are the dimensions? As it appears to be flat, unlikely to be a shoe buckle.
Not an expert on buckles, but it looks like C18. In your middle image, the hookie gizmo is an anchor chape, to which one of the straps was fixed. These tended to die out after 1720 for shoe buckles. The curved section is unusual – well,to me, anyway. Nowt in my buckle book like it.
Could you show the upright section at right in images 1 & 3?

Thanks for your input! I'll try to post some more pics tonight. It was bent pretty good in the ground, making it difficult to tell whether it was originally completely flat or not.
