I found this 1875-S twenty cent piece back in 73 when I was 16, in NE MO. My dad and I were always finding civil war relics in the garden, so my dad borrowed a Compass metal detector from someone he bowled with. That was my first experience mding, and I consider it my best find.

A two-tailed nickel. Maybe not the best, but one of my favorites because it's a weird find.

My best would be my 1909-S VDB I found last summer. Only one of three known to be found in Idaho.

Other than the rust bubbles by Lincoln's head, the coin is in great condition. I have not tried to clean it, for obvious reasons...

This 1906 IH is my fave. My first significant "old" coin, not counting the many wheaties that came before it........(I find plenty of wheats in my area, but not many injuns......)

either the half dime or 20 cent pieces are wining but what comes in a close 2nd is the two tailed nickel

Are you making your choice by value, rarity or cool find? If value the 1909-S VDB would probably be #1. Don't let me interfere....it's your contest......I'm just curious!!

I would have to say it would be between these 2 I found,

1991 V. Carranza $100 Mexican coin ( tot lot )

1966 ( 90% silver ) Bermuda Fifty Cent Coin ( in water )
