Went out yesterday for some water hunting after the long thanksgiving weekend and finally managed to find my first gold! It was a strange hunt, spent all day scooping up pull tabs and 0 coins. After about 4 hours I found an area around 10 by 10 yards across loaded with quarters. Decided to stay in that area for about a half hour and dig every target... 15 minutes in I pulled up a 14k (5.7g) class ring! As soon as I got the ring I marked my location and searched the area for any more targets. Sure enough, about 2 feet away I got another hit and my very next scoop after the gold ring was a silver ring... really cool experience. I spent the next hour searching that area with no luck and decided to call it a day.

:dingding: Congrats on your 1st gold! Good move working that area. Once you find those areas you gotta work them 'til there's no more signals.

That right there is a great hunt. Congrats my friend!

Congrats on a super hunt! 2 quality finds is a fine day. Also, congrats on your first gold, we always remember our first!

Congrats on your first, its good looking too.

Lol, thanks guys! Its been a long time coming. I have around 80 hours of hunting in as of now. Hoping they'll show up more often now that I have more experience under my belt.

That's a nice first gold ring! I still remember my first, the place, seeing it in my hand and the feeling..

And thus the addiction takes deep hold! Congrats on the first gold and two ring day!

Excellent rescues. Now that you have the first one I am sure there are more in your future. Bt don't dispair if it doesn't happen soon. I found my first and then it was 2 months before I got the next one. :-)

Congrats on the great scoops!

Thanks guys! I was addicted when I found my first crusty penny lol This is just icing on the cake :)

Btw, that silver ring cleaned up nicely!

Interesting inscription too (ep=mgh):
Potential energy is the stored energy of an object. ... So the total work or energy is force × displacement = mg × h = mgh. Ep = mgh. The more formal definition is that potential energy is the energy difference between the energy of an object in a given position and its energy at a reference position.

Yeah I saw that, one of the first things I did when I got home with it is looked up what HJ stands for. You can find the exact ring in their online catalog.

Awesome finds! Congrats!!

Those are some beauties there!!! Congratz!

Thanks guys!

Wow that's crazy, seems like you do really good out there based off the recent finds I've seen you post! This is a fresh drop (2017) ring. I think it'd be really interesting to find an older class ring from the 50's or something.

That sure is a beauty of a first, my first was this summer a tiny 10k less than 1g and I was so happy to find it, I can imagine how you felt when you saw that beauty in the scoop. Big Congrats man!!
