Cleaning the logo area of a bottle

Can anyone help me old with proper method to clean the 7 up logo area on this bottle.

I heard that #000 steel wool and light rubbing, no pushing, will clean it just fine.

I'm no expert... what do you think of lighter fluid? then alcohol to remove the oil?

Note: I have NOT tried this

There are rust removers for clothing, also stronger versions for rusty sidewalks.
Maybe a very diluted mix may work.

Try it on a unnoticeable spot then move on.
