I've always wondered what it would be like, after living so long, and try to imagine what old people must think. For example my grandfather who was born in 1889. He died in the 60's, but just imagine what he had seen. As a kid he lived through the cowboy/Indian days up to television.

I myself grew up when radio and television was just coming out, and telephones were still a simple communication device. Today we have huge super flat UHD TV, Internet TV and radio, and close to flying vehicles, pocket video capable phones. I just find it exciting what is to come.

Reminded me of what my dad said back in the 1960's (I think), as a side income he repaired the old tv sets that used vacuum tubes, and I remember him telling me that one day tv sets would be flat and hang on a wall like a picture, decades later when it became a reality I remembered him saying that.

I remember when we got our first color tv and later when basic remote controls came out, before that you had to go to the set and turn the tuner knob to change channels and adjust the "rabbit ears" indoor antenna for best reception for that channel, wonder what today's kids would think of that, probably :shock: :lol:

My father always remarked about the Dick Tracy wrist radio. He said some day we would see it. He didn't live long enough to see cell phones, but he did see my beeper. Just think what our children will see. joe

Lol, maybe you did, but not my father. I remember my dad yelling at me from the living room to come out of my bedroom and change the channel. I was the remote! :laughing:

Pfft! Bwahahaha!!!

Pretty much, but I was skinnier than that from running back and forth! Dad needed the channel changed A LOT! :laughing:

What's up with that kids pants? He either has on 10 pairs of undies or a diaper...

:laughing::laughing::laughing:

That was one way kids got exercise back then :lol:

I don't know what's up with that kids pants (maybe they had a diaper on him because he spent so much time changing channels he couldn't always get to the bathroom on time :lol:), I had did a quick online search for a pic of a kid changing the channel on an old style TV and needless to say there was not a lot to choose from since remotes have been around for a long time :lol:

.......glad you got a laugh out of it, I did too :laughing:
