The crowning moment of Sunday's hunt

I finally spent a couple of hours hunting in several locations Sunday instead of 20/30 minute quick after work hunts. Hit two clad quarters in one hole - first multiple coin find - and then the nickel and then a lot of nothing. Got permission to hunt along an old sidewalk across from my house and popped this little two-dimensional crown out (at least it looks like a crown). Miracle I didn't cut it in two with my digger, although I absentmindedly tried to straighten a slight bend and put a hairline crack in it. Would love to know what it was. The things that look like letters are just decorative.
