Great post Terry. Every Archeologist and every serious Metal Detectorist should watch this and learn. It is not a this or that but rather a both approach. I just think we need good representation on both sides willing to communicate.

Great video! I too have been working for the local Archaeologist for over 20 years. Once you develop a good work working relationship with the Archaeologist, they too will understand the importance of both groups working together. There is also mutual respect between us. Of course, there are still the old-school archaeologists that think that all metal detectors should be outlawed, with the detectorist's thrown in jail. Fortunately, this does not speak for all of them.

Awesome.. After all the bad press Detecting has gotten in the last few days, this is a refreshing view on how our hobby is a definite tool for Recovering Our Nation's History.. Awesome! Looking forward to more from this..
