It is Luke, that's why we have to get them out of the ground. Every year they freeze & thaw, get plowed or disked. I feel really lucky to find good buttons that are whole. There not going to last in the ground for ever. HH TIM

Nice Finds!! I found a small oval cuff button with an anchor like that, was told it was revolutionary war navy button.

Wow that's cool. The spot that I recovered it at has produced a lot of older than civil war buttons. Here's a couple of the older ones.

I love that stuff. Congrats on saving some history! I need to get on some of those sites. I know for some those dropped bullets are a dime a dozen, but I'd like to dig a nice set to display in my office. Thanks for sharing!

Yes it is, most all of my spots are done for a while. I keep an eye out though for opportunities to dig. That's why I give it hell in the winter & early spring. HH Tim
