Can't seem to find good coins lately so I figured I'd post a couple cool buttons from this weekends hunts.

Found the Post Office Department button yesterday and was able to figure out what it was after a little research. No idea on age though because I can't read the back mark. Could be as old as 1893 though. Electrolysis maybe?

Found the naval button today, it was under the edge of the asphalt between the street and sidewalk. The asphalt protected it from the elements so it still has all the gilt on it. According to the back mark it dates between 1893 and 1935.

Thanks for looking and HH

Keith

I was wondering how that CTX was working out for you Keith. Looks like you're getting a few targets. Some coins ought to be coming when you get some better spots.

BTW I will be heading up to Camp Holes in the Pockets on Tuesday. I won't be doing any 9 or 11 hours hunts though 6 hours is generally enough for me. If I come up with anything interesting I will let you know.
