Got a First Texas / Fisher / Bounty hunter basic pinpointer. Used it today in high wind and realized how hard it was to hear / feel the buzz especially with headphones on. Plus it's a pain to turn on and off and adjust every time with gloves on. I decided to open the thing up and see what I can do. Ended up finding a red LED inside hidden away, what a waste! Anyway my ugly "fix" was to move the LED to the end and I put a momentary push button on the battery. Now I set the threshold, and when pinpointing I push the button to turn it on and when it buzzes it also lights. Could also disable the buzzer for silent operation, but I didn't want to.
