KT got his 5 boxes at the bank around 1:30 yesterday afternoon. Started in on them after arriving back at the Castle. Box 1 had quite a few NIFCs but was devoid of silver. Box 2 was a repeat of box 1 but fewer NIFCs. Box 3 gave up a nice 87D Ken, but nothing else. Box 4 gave up a couple of NIFCs, another 87D Ken and 1 nice grease-filled die errror, reverse is fine but only Ken's head is strong on the obverse! Then came box 5....would you believe 2 68 and 1 69 Kens and nothing else! HA HA Never can tell with these boxes. Anywho KT is quite happy with the final results....3 40%ers, 2 87 Kens, 1 errror coin, and 24 NIFCs....see the pics below.
Now for the trip to the dump bank...KT took in $1500 in halves this morning...when He arrived, He noticed on one of the tables there was a cell phone laying there and no one around...so His Majesty picked up the phone and started asking customers if it was theirs... just then one of the customers was going out the door and KT chased him down...and yep, it was his....He was both surprized and happy when KT handed it to him...KT noticed he did not have a belt holder but just stuck it in his pocket.
Also, there was a familar person there...the machine repairman! Just finished fixing the machine...and he told KT something amazing....someone had dumped a bunch of silver dollars in the machine and it tore the rubber plate mattes to pieces! KT saw what was left of the mattes in the trash can...must have happened earlier in the week. I asked the teller what happened to the silver dollars and he said the manager shipped them in with other coins right after it happened...I told him to tell her not to do that, but save them for KT!!! They could have been just Ike dollars but KT will never know. Anywho, laying on the machine and scattered about on the floor was 97 cents, 9 dimes and 7 pennies...KT picked them all up (no silver with the dimes...all clad).
So KT ran His coins and the repairman was happy the machine was working flawlessly and we both left about the same time.
