I went to my gang raped park today for a two hour hunt. I hunt the huge front lawn were there are no signals left that is how hard this place has been pounded! I'm talking not even a foil signal, the park is over 300 acres and dates to the late 1800's. I've heard that in the 70's that detecting clubs would converge on the front lawn with 40 or so guys combing it finding civil war relics. I've found a couple three ringers and sword hanger there. Today I was running in auto sensitivity and it was at 22 and got a very choppy signal that usually I would never dig but I'm digging any thing with a high tone. This one gave a chirp when I rotated at 90 degrees every 5th or so swing with iron grunts like crazy! I got down to the 9" mark and my pin pointer went off and with one more scoop I pulled out a 1892 indian head!!! This is the deepest coin I've ever dug. About 10 foot away at around 6" I got another choppy bouncy signal that gave s 11-16 to 12-09 and found the buff. Ty for looking and HH! The indian makes # 32 FTY and the buff makes #33 FTY

Nice recoveries! Try turning fast recovery on and check those weak signals next time. I had a 8/9" (in the dirt) wheat that was giving me that same type signal. Called my buddy over with his ctx to see what he thought before I dug it. He started swinging over it and had much better highs for the target. I turned my fast recovery on and rechecked with a tight wobble over it and it was much more convincing that I should dig. Some times I will throw it in manually and crank the sens also. If you do manual and it gets to choppy try turning the sea water on. It helps stabilize the ctx at high sens settings.
