Hi all,

My name is Vince, I'm 50 years of age and I live in the Netherlands.
Started detecting after thieves robbed my parent's house back in 2010 and took (among other things) a handfull of old coins my father had found (and always cherished!) while he was restauring our 1600's farmhouse back in the sixties.
So me and my sis decided to detect around the property to find 'new' old coins.
This proved to be so very interesting and fun that I haven't stopped detecting since.
Now 7 years later, I still try to search at least once a week.
The detectors I'm using are the Rutus Alter 71 (riverbanks, recreation) and the Deeptech Vista Smart (pasture and ploughed Farmland)

Hello from Western Australia, Vince!

1966, the year Australia turned away from the commonwealth currency system (penny, pence, shilling etc) and changed to the current decimal currency.

1991, the year I went to Australia. WA was wonderful, went to a Jimmy Barnes concert in Broome, what an experience.
