i found a old belt buckle that was very rusty, and also some pennies and a couple coins that i cant recognize because of dirt and other gunk on them, how do i clean them ?

I throw my copper coins into olive oil to soak for several weeks, the clad I will tumble, initial cleaning is dish soap and an old tooth brush.............

I use a brass bristle brush with hand soap on some items unless it is an old coin, or something valuable.
