Was wondering if anyone had any ideas where to start? the log cabin is half standing just want some idea's. thank you

I would definately be doing the same, start with the inside, work out and figure where the trail or paths were, Than maybe where they would have good hiding spots, old growth trees. Or stumps. Best of luck smg

Two places I would concentrate on would be
Where did they get the water from? They would make that trip 5-10 times everyday. Laundry area?
Was there a barn or corral around? When folks went to town they would not walk so they would pack up the wagon and go.

Sounds nice keep us up to date

Also look for any signs of there being a clothes line somewhere. Clothes hanging upside down dropped coins out of pockets.

Don't forget that areas with smaller trees and bushes might have been clear at one time.
