Crinoid Stem fossil ????

Do you think this is fossil imprint of a Crinoid stem, which is the state fossil of Missouri or another fossil

We called them "Indian Beads" growing up. Have qt jars full from picking them up on the gravel bars in the creek when I was young and when my boys were young. And yes, it does have the look.
 
It's possible, but what kind of rock is that? Most fossils I find are in siltstone, but I have found some in chert. Limestone often has fossils, but I don't find any of those locally.

I think it's sedimentary cause of the color
