So I am fairly new to post but I need your help IDing this. It looks like some kind of badge where it almost looks like a flower with sheilds as the petals. There looks to be some kind of design in the center with stars around it. This was found on some land in Massachusetts. Any help is appreciated.

Give us a picture of the back. And see if you can highlight the face. You may have a rosette.

It is a bridle rosette and that back construction would indicate a pretty good age. Maybe even 1850s.
