Default Military Button ID

Hell All,

I found this button on the beach here in Southern CA last week. I am not a button expert, but would like some help identifying this one. It appears that the button has been rolling around in the surf for a long time.

Thanks,

Yes, back marks are key to dating.
Please post picture of back.

Looks like a great button find.

Very much copied button. Is the back rusted out? If so, not likely to be a military button, but, rather, a civilian blazer-type civilian button.
