Old bottle full of pennies

My folks saved pennies in this bottle since the 70s. It is about 20 inches tall and had $60 in pennies in it. About $8 were wheat pennies. One was 1911 and three were 1919. Does anyone know if the empty bottle has any value? It was used for display in a bar before my dad got it.

All I know is that it was worth more filled! Either with pennies or wine! :neat:

Nice find, did you get any better dates in the wheats?

The bottle is fairly common... you can still buy them (full) in liquor or wine stores. RickO

Most of the other wheats were from the 40s and 50s but no key dates. All I got for sorting the pennies was the empty bottle. Was glad to do it for my parents.

The bottle is probably as old as the newest coin you found in it, Its a keeper 60yr old bottle
