Too new to know

Searched google, and this site, guess I'm just as bad at hunting for stuff online as I am in the water :laughing:

Got an 8" excal coil on now, but looking to get a 10", and probably do an inline connector splice, but I am having difficulties finding a 10" coil to buy. Any recommendations? Or just call minelab and ask to buy a coil?

ML wont sell you an Xcal coil........ but you can buy any Sov coil and they work on the Xcal. So any detector store sells them. Try putting an add here for a Sov coil they are much easier to come by. Besides...... IMO a better coil. Splicing.... can be tricky. If you dont get the OUTER casing sealed properly water can go inside the tube or coil.

Cool. Thanks for your help. I like the 8" for water use, easier to pinpoint and sweep. But there are times I wish it was 10".
