Found another old shotgun headstamp ... could be 133 years old... W.R.A. Co. Rival (brown shells). (12 ga: 1884-1897) -
The park I was at was planned in 1871 but didnt become a park until sometime after 1890. Townsfolk used to graze their cows at this park as late as 1890 from info on the cities website and I would bet sometime before that, they could have hunted birds on this plot of land. So this headstamp as been sitting in that dirt anywhere from 1884-1889. Pretty neat.
