….well, except gold. A little bit of everything except gold... 
2nd day in a row at a mid 1800's farm house (the locals say the original log cabin there was 1838, but haven't gotten on anything THAT old). Put in about 5 hours of enjoyable work.
Freed many a shotgun headstamp, mason jar lid, and square nail from their dark interment in the ground... Not a single pull tab, one lonely modern coin, and no foil! All the trash was older (rusty sheet metal and melted lead, etc...)
Farmer seemed to have a problem holding on to his watches. I found one nearly complete open faced watch and other pocket watch parts in three completely different parts of the property.
Pretty happy to get into the 1860's on one of two indian pennies!! 1868 is my 6th oldest indian head cent. (one 1859 and four 65's)
Anyone have a clue what the iron piece with the anchor on it might be??
