Hunting an old park from the 1920's with my CTX last week...Started running a grid pattern after digging some old wheats around an old hand pump put in by the WPA...I've hunted this park hard over the years with other high end machines...Received a good 12/45 high tone blending in with iron tones in Ferrous/Coin Combined mode I created...It pinpointed deep...I dug the target and pulled out a roundish chunk of iron...Placed that in my pouch...Rechecked the hole and got another good hit with the Garret probe...Dug a little deeper in the moist loamy soil and pulled a similar iron chunk...I was a bit disappointed until upon closer inspection I noticed a silver edge in the chunk of iron...I rubbed the edge a bit and noticed a second silver edge...Wow...I then pulled the other chunk out of my bag and rubbed that off a bit and again saw a silver edge...I pried the first chunk apart and it revealed 2 Mercury dimes sandwiched between 2 old bus tokens...The 3rd dime was also fused to another token...After carefully cleaning them with electrolysis at home, I tallied (2) 1925's, and a 1936 in the same hole...Not 5 minutes later I pulled (2) Indians in the same whole about 5' way...Definitely a great hunt...

Thanks

Sometimes the silver gods are with you...This was one of those times...I think now, that the fun part of this hobby after 30 years of detecting, is pulling silver from "hunted out" sites...If it were easy, it might not be as fun...Each coin tells a story...

I really need to find me one of these machines!!!! Great finds and together at that. Easy digging!!!

Nice spill and park!

I live in an area where 95% of the land is owned by the govt. Not many opportunities to hunt unless you hunt private property.
