For all the civil war hunters .
Thought yall would enjoy this link to a pa museum.
They have a ton of belt plates and all sorts of cw buttons .
Not to mention 60, 000 minnie balls in one group .enjoy.

This museum is not in Pennsylvania. It is about 8 miles from my house in Virginia

Right About That

X2 on that VA-REB.

Undoubtable the neatest private museum I've ever been in. that place everytime in the Fredericksburg area. I believe that the artifacts are the result of one family's relic hunting...or something close to that.

It's almost unbelievable and not to mention the cool obscure things that were preserved like the road beds or the hut sites. Those folks saved everything...thank God. Makes for some cool looks.

A lot of it was donated, but the majority of it was found by D. P. Newton and his Dad. i donated a few nazi pieces (he has a small WW11 display). D.P. is one of the nicest people you will ever meet.

What are those things on the back wall in the 6th picture? They look like they're brass & have a loop at the top.

If you're talking about the pic with all the bullets in the corner, I think they are Union cavalry picket pins. I think the loop swivels around the pin. Saw them in Crouch's relic book. I found the Reb version earlier this year on one of my sites

You got it. Tied the reins to the swivel so horse could move around it and graze
