Basketball, NIFC's, and SILVER!!!

I have been waiting to hear from you on this KT. Once I reveal the totals I'll be interested in thoughts on how this happens. Clearly it is unusual as I have averaged one silver per box up until now, and have been skunked a couple of weeks other than NIFC's. This one had a number of NIFC's with the most recent being a 2016, so it isn't a box that has been sitting around for a long time. Do people really dump coins like this regularly?
Thanks,
John

To answer your question with some statistical info to back His Majesty's conclusions, He went back and found the following for KT's CRH history:

2012 - 3 hunts of this quality of take
2013 - 9 hunts of this quality of take
2014 - 3 hunts of this quality of take
2015 - 9 hunts of this quality of take
2016 - 9 hunts of this quality of take
2017 - 10 hunts of this quality of take
2018 - 1 hunt so far of this quality of take

Except for 2012 and 2018 which are short years, you are looking at 52 5 box hunts in each year. So....KT would say people do not dump these quanitities of silver, proofs and other collectibles on a regular basis, but they do apparently dump them some what frequently. Except for 2013, the other full years average close to 17 % good hunts....multiple 40%ers and several 90%ers were KT's qualifications to make a quality hunt. Some of these years had upwards of 30 40%ers and no 90%ers and they were not included in the count above.

Remember, whenever some one dumps coins like this, it is usually IMHO a one time thing....someone in the family died and they inherited the hoard or accumulation of years worth of saving.....and they DUMPED it all! Let's face it, old folks are dying all the time, many were hoarders, be it coins, fruit jars, rubber bands or whatever! They lived through hard times and were of the saving generation. Some of these folks sold out when the price of silver was high, but some were savers for the real hard times, and saved up to the day they died. Times never got so hard or the price so high for them to bother to cash out their hoard. So the uninformed relatives get it...to them its just a mish mash of a lot of coins, so off to the bank and dump, dump, dump!

And that is the way KT thinks the system continues to be replenished.

Thanks for asking KT's Royal Opinion!:laughing: That and a buck 75 will get you a regular coffee at Starbucks!:lol::lol:

That is what I was thinking KT. Thanks for your statistical data !
