I just arrived to the North England coast.
Today I found this broken Pewter spoon.
It has small stars and also Fleur de Liz I guess.
How old ?......Could it be Tudor or Even Medieval?

Well found.

Possible for you to put a photograph of front & back of just the item?

Hello Doug,
I will post tomorrow a better picture.I think at the
back could also have some drawings, but there is
an iron oxide crust on both sides as if somethinof
iron was attached to it....very strange....

Thanks, look forward to the photographs.

Possible not a spoon handle with the rust on it, may have been attached to something with iron rivets?

ID updated.

With the help of a UK forum member possible ID for the item.

Also new photographs added courtesy of the OP.

Hi Doug

It looks like an Aesthetic Movement fork handle design to me which, if correct, would probably date it between about 1880 to 1900.

Obviously it could have been lost long afterwards though. Button hooks and the like tend to be more rounded and also there is far more reason for a fork to be outside than a buttonhook. We will probably never know for sure though.
